Can the original style 1969 disc/drum Master Cylinder "309" be used when converting rear drums to discs?

as long as it doesnt have the residual check valve in the port- it hold about 2lbs of pressure so you have a "good" pedal with drums it may cause a slight drag on the disc pads that are supposed to float next to the rotor. that valve should be removeable.
