Ok I test fitted my new Boss wheels and I will need spacers. My bolt pattern is 5X5 and my wheels are 5X5 so I just need spacers not adapters. I figure I need an inch in the front and 1.5 inches in the rear. I'd like 2 but will er on the side of caution. So who or where should I get a good set of spacers from and what should I expect to spend?

Hey stickman, what kind of clearance do you have behind the wheel for calipers ie the difference between the mounting face and the back of the spokes?

I didn't measure that. I will check tomorrow when I get the proper lugnuts. Why? The problem with the fronts is it hits the swaybar and is close to the bracket that holds the brake hose where it connects to the line. In the back there is maybe a 1/2 inch clearance between the tire and the inner fender well. That and ta the rear there is plenty of room to come out and I think It will improve the looks by alot. Right now my car has this goofy optical illusion where the rear tire looks smaller than the front even though they are the same size. I hope bringing the rear out more it will help that.

Got mine from Skulte as well. Excellent quality.

To the original poster, if you're going THAT big on spacers, you may as well just get adapters. You can get a 5x5 to 5x5 adapter easily. I don't remember the reasons but evidently super thick spacers are unsafe compared to adapters.

if you are going that thick, you should use adaptors.it's much safer.
i ran h&r spring adaptors for years with no problems.whatever brand you buy just make sure they are hub-centric.

I didn't use the word adapter since it's not adapting from one bolt pattern to another. I figured even the bolt on "adapter" were just spacers.
