67-68 Camaro owners in here!

If you could buy a valance modified with 69 park lights, would you be interested? We have already have a valance ready to be molded, but before I go to the trouble to do it, I am taking a head count of who all would be interested. The valance looks like a 69 valance without bumper openings, but fits a 67-68. If you want to run a front bumper the holes will need cut. Several guys here have done it, so you know what it looks like. Post up if you might be interested.

Hey, Mike. What ballpark price and timeframe? Would it have the 67-68 openings or be completely closed? My valance is bashed in so I'm looking!

Lights is stock 69 location, completely closed. If you want to run bumpers you will have to make the hole, but we would provide a location pattern.

I still need to get a valance in a car to deal with any possible hood latch issues.

Price is unknown right now, until I see what the mold and part costs run. Time frame I hope to have the first products in 6-8 weeks

Steel piece stamping die would be VERY expensive and cost prohibitive unless we could sell thousands which I doubt. It will be a hand laid fiberglass piece.

Finally some pics of where we are headed. I am not quite sure I am happy with light placement yet, I will know better once we cut the new center inlet opening. I am waiting to cut it until I mount a RS hood release to know exactly where it needs to go. You may be able to see the outline of my proposed cut. Don't pay attention to the sheetmetal fitment, none of it is aligned, just thrown on to visualize the valance installed.

I love the idea. I'm running a bumper on mine and am having a little trouble visualizing what this would look like. Can you tell if the bumper would end up blocking any part of the top of the lights?

One of my concerns. It looks like the bumper is going to be right at the lights, but not covering them froma striaght on view. Still have to verify with a bumper installed.

i like it.. but i would suggest that for the "mouth" opening that you somewhat style it out rather than a strait rectangle.

I may offer without an opening, but for every design it requires another mold and another pile of $$$$. Still feeling this design through.

Still in progress. Our first prototype we donated to project "karma" due to the placement of the lights would not allow the installation of the bumper, so we are modifing another one. It will work fine on your car with your mods.

I had something similar on my project. They work as Clear Daytime Running Lights like on the newer cars. I retrofited a later model Daytime Running light socket and clear bulb. I left the factory RS turn signals for the 68. As far as the Hood Release, I made a loop and handle that would work through the grille. You could also reach up from the bottom and reach the handle if you had to..

I've been thinking of pulling off my front bumper and this looks like it would be a cool modification.

Would you have the mounting flange for the front spoiler?

I like the idea of no front holes. Then it could be customized if you wanted to put them in. How important are those openings for cooling the car down?

Well the 69 does not have any holes in the lower valance so I think it will be just fine. Yes you will be able to change the valance out on a painted car no problem. The spoiler mount will still be there

When I get back to the house, I will post a pic of a diecast 68 that I have that might lead to some more options. Being a diecast, the proportions aren't exact, but if I were to ever build one, I would try to do it this way.... Pic to come.
