'69 351w, 408 forged stroker kit, TF TW 205 CNC heads (64cc), CI cam, all roller stuff, ARP, main girdle, pro motion TKO 600 9 inch, MT ET street 10.5 or 255-45-18 Boyds. some 150 hp NOS

i live in The Netherlands, europe, building for some high performance street and some strip use.

forgot to mention that i have a roller cam thrust plate. didn't make a pic before installation.

the groove directs the oil (from a little hole, which is there for the oil pressure to go out so the roller bearring gets fresh and cool oil) to the center of the timing gear

been busy again. made a bit progress again

strange thing is that i didn't had to trim the brace or tunnel. it just fits?!?!?!?!! just widened the hole for the shifter.
for your info; it is a TKO 600 from ProMotion in florida.

meanwhile, i measured my cranking compression and it turned out to be 230 instead of the 189 :??? :o

well, that means mixing with racing gas (25%VP C14), no NOS usage BUT...... more power :idea

not gonna retard the cam. first drive, if not satisfactory: change to a thicker Cometic gasket.

the hydr. clutch is from JMC, BUT THEY ARE OUT OF BUSINESS!! and are frauds.... (they owe me 2k$ worth of parts)

nice ride. how did the TKO600 fit w/out cutting?? maybe it's lowered and a different drive-shaft angle.

will you have any problems taking out the spark plugs? some have to lift the engine to remove them.

@ hivewax: did a little cut in the brace. but it is lowered through my alu motor mounts.

easy on plug removal. just get the right tools.

I have some updates, but mostly replacing bodyparts. Currently we are working on a new engine bay with all the sheetmetal replaces. Engine and driveline are out. Also welding holes as heating wont be nessecary.

I also have some ringbrothers stuff on the way to amsterdam, that Musclerodz arranged or me.

New pics when the car is in primer!!
Cant say when, but wont be long :-)

Awesome fastback! I have a 408w powered 65 fastback myself...very similiar to yours!

What headers are you using? I have Hooker Super Comps 1 3/4 primaries and I am told by TCP that their Manual Rack & Pinion doesnt fit. It looks like you are using the unis-steer. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have the hookers too. Got them from summitracing. Fits perfect with my manual unisteer. The unisteer is perfect!! And quite cheap. Summitracing also.

The hookers are a bit thight on the towers, but now we make extra room. The engine has a 12.88CR, so i drive race fuel or reg + water/meth (street). Est. Hp 700+ and build to last.

What are your impressions of the Unisteer kit? Install ok? What steering column are you using with it?

Great project…

The forward mount for the traction bars are of concern to me. It looks like the bracket is welded to the floor and it is in single shear. I have a feeling that as soon as you have one hard launch the bracket will rip from the floor or the bolt will bent. It should be mounted in double sheer and attached to the front leaf spring mount.

The forward mount for the traction bars are of concern to me. It looks like the bracket is welded to the floor and it is in single shear. I have a feeling that as soon as you have one hard launch the bracket will rip from the floor or the bolt will bent. It should be mounted in double sheer and attached to the front leaf spring mount.

It is attached (or was) to the frt leaf eye mount & torque box. Kinda moot now as it looks like he changed out the leafs for the chassisworks 4-link coilover.

Looks like it was done for oil shedding/drainback purposes.

I've worked for years in transportation and for career reasons these days I leave for work way early each Monday morning and return home after dark on Fridays. Those Trucklite headlights are rapidly gaining favor among fleets because truck drivers do an incredible amount of their work during the night...you can really pick them out as you meet them on the road.
