What do you think?
SLG23. Kinda different. I don't know....I'm leaning towards it. I just don't know what they'd look like on a 1st gen.

Yea, I saw that wheel in one of their print ads this weekend. They had the word "Pro Touring" under the picture of the wheel. I wonder what crowd they are trying to target lol. I think its a good looking solid wheel that would look good on 1st gens and other classics. IMO it's more weekend show than track/auto cross. I don't know how much they weigh, but they look a little hefty.

One thing I will say about Billet Specialties is their polish and overall quality is one of the best.

I see what you guys are saying, but I should probably note that my budget does not allow for Forgelines or HRE's or Fikse's. I gotta stay within $1500 for JUST the wheels. Sorry.

well then i probably would go with those boss 338s before those honestly.. and they are cheaper by far.

click the "WEIGH THEM" link in my signature.
in that thread you can read about the reported weights of both the SLG23 and the SLG45. i can't see why the SLG45 would weigh markedly less than the SLG23, but that's the nature of "wheel weight" threads. the SLG45 weight was determined w/ a scale; the SLG23 weight was probably a best guess, which i hate. perhaps a PM to howard@newstalgiawheel or an email to joe caccavella would shed some light on billet specialty wheel weight.

Thanks for the link. I'm not really concerned with the weight of the wheel as this car will be used mostly as a cruiser to start out. Thanks.

It looks much better in the T-shirt rendering than in the real pic! In the rendering the cut down area inside the spoke appears to be curved with the spoke not flat like in the wheel pic.
How about a set of Budniks in 17s ? We can do a set in your choice of 17x7,8,9.5,10 for very, very close to your budget. Shoot us a PM and we will be happy to give you a quote.
Thanks Tim

I really like those. I think they'd even look better with a few different finish options, like a brushed satin rim and charcoal center.
Most of their wheels look like they belong on one of Boyd Hotrods, but those have more of an edge to them.

I like em.
On your car, if the centers were black, with brushed raised portion of the center section, with titanium hoops, it would look sweet!
But then again, I'm no artist, so I wouldn't give much weight to my opinion.

Agreed.
They look nice on that t-shirt rendering...all that matters is if YOU like them however, you'll get responses all over the board here.

I actually think they would look good on your camaro given the color and the straight spoke. Camaro seem to be able to get away with a straight spoke, where as the firebirds don't seem to be able to. I think it has to do with the nature of the nose area. As seen from the side the camaro is straight and the firebird has a bit of a curve that I feel the spokes need to pick up on. With the shiney raised portion and the darker centers I think it would work with the rest of the car. I say go for it.

If you order from us, I can do any color you want in there. I like the Billet Specialties over other brands mentioned because you WILL NOT wait 8 weeks. They are turning around wheels in 2-3. Awesome. And they are consistent, and their ETA's can be trusted.

When I come home from work tomorrow, I would like to have Vida Guerra in my bedroom buck naked and ready to go. If you can get on that for me, that would be great. :)
