So my wifes Cousin in the Philipines asked me to find him a 911 GT3 new or slightly used, I replied I would love to help, so my first question is does anyone here know of one for sale? secondly how is the market for these cars today, I'm dying to just drive one and then thinking it will be in my garage for a while :)

The GT3 has a very very stiff ride! He may want to take one for a test drive first if that's possible. Or maybe you can take one for a test drive and give an idea of what to expect. For a NA 6 cylinder motor, it is crazy fast. It's basically a race car that is street legal.

If he is interested in a slightly used one, he should check out http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/index.php .

Lot's of Porsche knowledge on that website, cars for sale and he can also do a little research too.

Technically, she would be a Pinay. Alam ko, kasi ng asawa ko ay Pinay din (I'm sure Mr. V will correct my Tag-lish). Good luck with the search- he's going to drop some serious coin bringing it to PI.

Speaking of Mr Vengeance- I was looking at your site...please tell me that's not Ron Jeremy in 'Big Boys #42' ha ha!

Check on www.rennlist.com and www.pelicanparts.com. Both are pretty active Porsche forums, I am sure you will find something there. Rennlist is probably a more likely source for a GT3.

I found this yesterday on Craigslist. Not sure if he wants to go as far back as an '04, but this is a great deal on an awesome car. As a former P-car owner, the GT3 is a sweet car. might be worth checking out. It seems like most high end cars are discounted heavily right now, at least in the Atlanta area. Good luck!

Having worked at a Porsche dealer for 9 years I would recommend a 996 version over the 997 - 996's have that raw race car feeling that the 997's don't - also I would recommend having a dealer inspect the car (they know exactly what to look for) a lot of these car get VERY thrashed on & repairs can be expensive - Good Luck

Market is very soft, this time is a great time to buy. I would check out forums like 6speedonline.com also to see cars for sale by owners rather than dealers or ebay sellers. GT3 is one of those cars it is nice to know the history and owner.

On a bit of a far shot: try looking for one in Dubai! A buddy there says they have more than 3.000 high end cars abandoned by their owners and more added daily. Seems that a lot of foreigners with high salary jobs (& nice cars) have been laid off and as they have some weird laws that means hard prison time if you don't pay your debts, people are just dumping the cars, the bank loan etc. and leaving on the next plane. Some amazing deals to be made right now.

I've been shopping for a GT3 myself, sure would love to pick one of these up in the next year. I've seen prices drop quite a bit, with several like-new ones under $100K. Seems like $85-95K puts you into a nearly new one in today's market.

I have a 2004 for sale. I work at a Mazda dealership outside Chicago. Our owner bought this car for a track car, but never really used it. It only has 9600 miles on it and it has been sitting in our showroom. Immaculate!!!!!

I have sent alll the links to this car to the prospective buyer. one question, is this an original RS? you advertise it as a GT3 but it has the GT3RS sticker on it.

I have some good Porsche contacts since BOS builds quite a few and thier customers are "in the know"

PM me your phone number and we can chat.. they would know where to find the best deal, what to look for, and if any local cars are for sale.

Hell, my friend Eid has two.. doh!
