He's 15 months now and put a major dent in the Malibu Project but I love the guy a whole lot.

Only did one side of the disc brake convertion. I need to tweek the wheel adapter on the lathe. The rear fits fine, just need to play with the front.

I have all the parts for the engine, just waiting for the block to be finished at the machine show.

400 SBC getting splayed caps. Compstar crank, JE pistons, same trickflow heads. Haven't ironed out a cam yet.

Free time in the garage can be challenging to say the least. But worth it, by all means.

I have a small window to work with soon. We're planning to shoot for another one in the summer. :doh:

Don't worry, I have 2 little girls and once they get to 4 or older they want to help!

Momma likes it because they are anywhere but at her feet.

Good to see you are still around. I sold my 78 last year after putting it on hold when my daughter was born. Now she is 3 and I can't keep her out of the shop.

Yep they love to help! My boy (3 1/2) was helping me put in and tune an aftermarket engine management computer for the toy car (WRX) the other weekend. Always a great feeling to be playing contortionist under the dash and having little fingers prod you in the ribs from the back seat. I've just got to make sure he is no where near the laptop when I'm tuning as he loves playing with the keys (at least the arrow keys aren't used to change the values in cells...).

I don't mind the company, the pokes in the ribs annoy me a little though :) I am glad he takes an interest in that sort of thing though, and he knows well enough to stay away from a hot soldering iron too.

Gotta love kids.

Thanks, I was driving and just pointed the camera at him. He's riding in his truck. Wife inherited from her father and gave it to him. I since put a suburban rear bumper on and took those tail pipes off.

I know what you mean. I have a 4 and a 5 year old. If I am in the garage or working on any car I have them next to my hip.

This is mine at 2 and a half. Now at three she already nows a thing or two. If anyone comes over she shows them the motor, transmission and the frame.

she had a little mini screwdriver and was going to town on any hole she could stick it in. I think shes more excited to ride in it again than I am.

Well you can't start them too young can you.

My 14 year old was the one who talked my wife into the sportwagon. Telling her about it. Both him and my 11 year old wants to help me work on it. My 20 year old wants to drive it ( yeah right)

This is actually my first project I have had since I got married ( sold my 70 GTO) but now I am back.
