As of this morning, I now have an LT1/T56 combo thanks to some water and trees. I'm fine but this really hurts. I really liked this car. I took out a four inch diameter tree with the front corner. That spun me around again and slammed the back end into the trees where I finally stopped moving. Watched three other people nearly loose it in the same spot while waiting for the tow truck. Many more got squirrelly though. So as of now, no more 6.6 Gen 3. I'd rather try out a turbo LT1. So if anyone out there has info on building a good turbo combination or has links to some examples, I could use some cheering up. I think a turbo LT would be a great choice that's different. Thanks

this guy has been on camaroz28.com for quite some time. can't speak to the quality of his kits, but it's a start.

Glad you are not hurt. I am interested in replies too.

What are you going to do with the seats?

Damn Trey, that sucks!

But, good for you looking to donate it's heart to the next project!

I know if (god forbid) something like that happened to my Z28, I would be ordering a cobra kit to put the LS1/T56 in!

I'm thinking of keeping my seats actually. They are non power cloth seats. The WS6 cars could not be had with power seats but most had leather. My cloth is good but the foam is worn out.

I'm thinking I could build a budget and very streetable LT1 and make well over 400 rwhp pushing 500 without the turbo lag and worthless power band of huge single turbo cars. I'd be single turbo but would keep everything smaller so it spools sooner. We'll see though. It's been 12 hours since I totaled it so who knows what will happen between now and then. The biggest thing is I really like LTs. I'd love to build one but money doesn't grow on trees for me. A stroked 6.0 could make upper 400 rwhp and be very streetable with a very broad torque band. If I can replicate that with the LT using a turbo setup, I'm there. I'm not against a supercharger setup either but a turbo would be different and quiet until boosted.

Thanks guys

Ouch!! man that sucks, it must've been s wild ride.

an LT1 turbo does sound pretty cool and it might even be bitchin with those new aftermarket heads I read about. :)

That old T/A is sweet, btw.

I'll be using the PCM harness and that's it I think. I like the dash but I don't think I want to put it in the TA.

no clue but let me think about it. You'll be first on my list. Send me a PM with what all you need and we will go from there.
