front springs

is it possible to cut my front springs to lower my 69 camaro 2"?? what are the effects if i do?? and what do you guys recommend for lowering the rear? i have 17's on the car and i want the wheel well over the tire alot for that agressive stance. like this but a little lower in the back! i have 275/50/17 in the rear thanks
