I just wanted to start a thread on the great coverage of the Optima Batteries Ultimate Street Car Invitational that Camaro Performers did.
I liked the Camaro Performers article much better than the Hot Rod Magazine article of the same event.

Once again , it's great to see so many Pro-touring members in the magazine.

Payton King was on the cover and had an 8 page layout (pg 34-41)on his yellow '69.
True Tourtillot was on page 14 and 15.
And the great 12 page write-up about the event !

There were great shots from the event of :

Dave Beddomes' car "Fuel ".
Tyler Beauregard of ATS.( You sure were smiling )
Ron DeRaads' twin-turbo Ford powered Camaro.
Mary and David Pozzi.( Driving their hearts out )
Kyle and Stacy Tucker from Detroit Speed.
Bret Voelkel from AirRide.
(And Big Red was there too ).

I just wanna' say thanks to the magazine and the members of this site who were there .
I love reading about this stuff.
I think other people do , too. ( Like the magazine buying public out there )

And any of you that don't subscribe to Camaro Performers , you should. It's really coming up.

Anyhow , thanks Steve and Nick !

Yes! It is a great issue...even though "Tony's Toolbox" got canned. :)

And thanks Jeff for the compliment on the story.

Originally our agreement with Hot Rod was that we could only cover our car at the event. But there were so many Camaros at the even that I couldn't just ignore them. Also, when I say how many competitors were left out of the Hot Rod story I had to give them some ink for coming out and hitting the track.

I hope the story gave a good "feel" for what the event was all about.

LOL!! I was surprised it was renamed, but I like it. I've now got my own logo. :)

Finally hit the news stand in Canada. Steve you totally crushed the Hot Rod coverage of the event, nice work! Thanks for the mentions and pics of FUel. Great Mag.

Thanks guys.. the main reason the magazine is good isn't Nick or myself. It's because we get such killer cars to shoot.

Thanks to all the board members for helping fill our pages with badassery.. lol

I will say though that I was particularly happy with the Optima coverage and though it pretty much smoked Hot Rod's version.

Wow, sounds like a great read.

Now if only Camaro Performers would have sent it to my house I would have gotten a chance to read it. As of yet.....nothing.

Is Camaro Performers a monthly subscription because I didn't get anything this month either.
