I was wondering if anybody new where I can get a '69 T/A hood. I know that classic ind and year one have them. I wouldn't mind a fiberglass hood if it had a steel frame. I have also heard that there might ba a company making all steel hoods. Any info? Thanks for your help.

You're looking for someone selling a used one, or you're wondering who other than Classic and Year One carry them, or something else?

The last original GM steel that I know of that sold brought $8500.00!

There has been talk of a fiberglass skin hood with a metal bottom. I "thought" that was already available.

Don't hold your breath for an all steel repo. I doubt there will one coming anytime soon.

There is an all steel repo available now. The Parts Place sells them. It is expensive, $1300 if I remember right. I have their earlier fiberglass on a steel frame version. Avoid it if you can - it is wider than stock and the nose needs a major makeover to line up with the front bumper assembly.

One other note. The scoop inserts are fiberglass and take a lot of work to make them fit.

That is the hood I have. It is of marginal quality and a pain in the butt to rework. The scoops do not fit, it is wider than stock, the front does not mate with the front bumper, and the rear edge does not match the cowl panel profile. It is also full of bondo on the edges. Without a doubt the biggest disappointment of my entire build...

We just got the steel Parts Place version for project "Routy"... I have not tried to fit it yet, but it looks decent by eye, whatever that's worth.

(No pics of the hood yet... I'll post asap.)
