Bought a rack and pinion for my 67 firebird that I'm installing a ls2 in. And the block will not clear the banjo fittings that go to the pwr steering pump, just wanted to make sure no one else makes the same mistake that I did.Rod

You might try contacting the vendor, they may have a workaround for you (or have you already done so?)

Yes, talked to brandon at unisteer and the banjo fitting need to be that size to operate properly.my plan is to send everything back and go with a dse 600 steering box

Gotcha.
Given that LSx mounts differ so widely in where they put the engine, and so do accessory drives, would you mind posting up the details on your combination to help others?
In the meanwhile - if you don't mind, I'm going to rework the title of the thread; "beware of" makes it sound like they ripped you off instead of it just not fitting.

I used the autokraft billet mount plates which use the stock motor mounts, my accessory drive kit is the vintage air front runner kit.i also used the autokraft pan.hope this can help someone else. Rod

Thanks for the info. I have a LS2 with the autokraft pan and S&P adapter plates going in my 68 camaro. I was about 90% on my steering selection and now I am 100%.

You could always go with a 600 series box from Unisteer. I have been very pleased with mine. They might even do it on an exchange.

I believe there is stickied topic over at LS1 tech about installing a LS into a 67 camaro, they used all S&P stuff but had a unisteer, if I recall they took a little off the block and it ended up clearing just fine..
good luck!
