Anyone know where to find raw AN fittings? I have looked at all my usual sources but can't find them un-anodized.

I'm not sure this makes a difference, but ive heard tell of certain automotive chemicals/cleaners will strip the anodizing fairly easily.

Yep - just spray them with oven cleaner

I have some and it works ok on most pieces. Some of the pieces will have more anodizing than others.

you'll need the heavy duty oven cleaner. Also, I believe earl's will sale some of them unanodized. Do you have an Earl's catalog?

Those look to be stainless. I know they are expensive.

those are endura or nickle plated fittings. I use them b/c they are almost identical in color between manufs. unlike the blues and reds which vary in shades. cost is 20-40% more though which is 3-8 a fitting. at least what I've encountered.

Mike, Fragola makes an anodizing remover might be a cheaper route for you.

*BTW thanks for the wheels, they turned out great.......

Yep, nickle plated. They hold up better than the blue and red when removing and reinstalling.

Bret ErvinThanks again for the order. How about a thread with pics of the new Rushforths?

I need quite a few fittings so I prefer not to have to spend the extra time stripping them. Fragola sells them raw as well so I now have several options

Nickel plating won't vary by manufacturer because the process does not vary. Annodizing colors can vary between manufacturers depending on the voltage used and how thick the annodizing is applied. The thicker the darker.
