Hello everyone,

My wife gave me permission for Valentine's day to actually have some guy time and sign up at pro-touring, jajajaja

Anyway, I'm working on a 95 Camaro Z/28 Converible that I have more time now to work on. I had Bob's Top Shop in Orlando install a new top and liner, I had the 4L60E rebuild by Aamco transmission in Kissimmee rebuilt (Very Bad Experience) and I had the install a B&M shift kit and trans-cooler installed. With the engine at 140k miles it has a bad oil leak so I decided to keep it for now and installed a K&N intake. I put in some synthetic grease at the rear (stock) and replaced the fuel filter. I'm interested in making this car a pro-touring daily driver but I don't want to keep the LT-1, I'd like to start with an LS7 but that would be out of my league. I figure if I found maybe an LS6 or LS2 with a 6speed tranny I could afford it. My problem is that I don't have the engine or trans to do this AND the car is an automatic now. And as good a mechanic as my wife says I am, I don't think I can pull off such a big project. I love this car, it was dying in my brother-in-law's garage and I bought it from him. When I was in Jersey I remember when they first hit the streets and I always wanted one. This one is showing its age now with the original top which was vinyl and the bad paint and tranny but I can't seem to let it go. I've been embarassed by one too many Mustangs and I've had it. Does any one out there know of who has such an engine combo and who could help me work out the details with the install? The only engines I can find out here in central Florida so far have been L98s from trucks with a ton of miles and automatic trannies. I'll post some pictures next week after work. If anyone can help I'd apreciate it. Thanks, God Bless everyone.
