Hello all,
I'm back after getting a stern talking to, a time out, a virtual mob hit placed on me by pseudo Good Fellow characters, called a "homo" by an angry vampire leprachan, compared to the most villified person ever on this forum, and being called "special".

I was trying to go by the rules which say:

10). Classifieds: In the best interest of our members, in order for a member to sell parts or vehicles in the "For Sale" forum, one must be a registered member of Pro-Touring.com / g-Machines.com for 3 months, or be accredited with at least 10 posts. Under special circumstances, this rule may be waived pending individual references or other unforeseen circumstances. Please contact an Administrator for more information. As well, we ask that all members selling an item include within their posts: their location and the asking price of said item.

Well, those aren't quite the rules as I found out. I learned the hard way as I guess there are people just trying to "sell their crap". I chose the wrong words to use and was punished. I would like to apologize to all for my actions which chapped all your rearends. I meant no harm in any way, but some seemed to take it personal (very easy to do behind a computer screen). Like the dude who posted the pic posted below. Which brings up another rule I followed:

3). Positive Attitudes: "Trash-talking" a.k.a. "flaming" is greatly frowned upon at Pro-Touring.com. Our members come here to enjoy themselves and gather helpful information for their projects. In accordance, we ask that you please maintain a positive attitude whilst posting in the forums. You are entitled to your opinion and individuality, but at the same time: if you post in an inflammatory manner, your post well be deleted or edited for content deemed unnecessary by an Administrator or Moderator, and the thread possibly closed. If you continue to post in such a manner, administrative action will be taken, and you will be banned.

I will soon post some pics of my under-achieving Camaro and it will be amusing you all once again. Thanks go out to those who chuckled at my ill fated attempt at trying to sell crap.

Well its good to see that your not taking things so personal (as far as I can tell). However, I don't think bringing up what happened the last time will be necessary. Move past the negative and introduce your project and contribute. Hopefully everything will go smoother this time around.

I agree. I'll take pics next week. I'm working on it at my local community college. I have a couple funny stories I'll share also. Now to go buy some LS1 brakes, front and back, for $100. Today is a good day.

actually, Im glad you posted that quote. I missed one when i updated all the rules. it's now *50* posts minimum, and the following is included in the rules

Those need to be "real" posts, too. Not ones posted to simply drive up your post count in an attempt to qualify to sell here. This is NOT craigslist. We don't want strangers selling on our board. Period.

No offence taken, but understand we get *a lot* of guys who just want to use the site as a focused craigslist. That's not what we want. It breeds scamming when anyone is allowed to come and sell whatever to whoever. We've already learned that the hard way.

No problem Tony. I try to follow the rules, so I guess it kinda irked me when I followed them but was still out of line. I appreciate you fixing that rule. I'll try to add my 2 cents and be a productive member here, but I have limited knowledge and resources to add any useful information. I also have almost no money so there will be no innovative or revolutionary build process or cutting edge products used in my build. I think that's where creativity will have to shine. I guess that's why it's so tough for me to get a lot of posts. I can tell someone, "great job" or "I like that", but those don't do a whole lot of good but to stroke one's ego and fall in the 1-2 word post category. I read almost all of the posts and fallow all of the build threads, so I feel like I'm right there with the build, which is the best part of these forums.

Thanks again to all who push the envelope and spend their time and money that I don't have. I appreciate the time you take to post builds, tips & tricks, and knowledge so I can learn from your mistakes and discoveries.

There are a lot of ways to build a bitchin car without spending a ton of cash. You just have to readjust your expectations. SEMA, Magazine covers and cheap don't go together. But Fun and cheap certainly can.

Use the search function to find topics you need help with and ask tons of questions.
