Custom metal roof liner (interior) installed this week. Very very happy with how it has come out, exactly what I was after. Shop has done an amazing job on it.

Did you Dynamat the roof too?

Cool!! Very nice work.
But very heavy!!
We smooth the under side of a hood like that for a customer. Looks incredible but the hood hinges would not hold up any more.
It felt like it dbl the weight.
Keep us posted!
Thanks for sharing.

Someone needs to make metal version then have it reproduced in fiberglass or carbon. That will greatly reduce the weight.

Great idea, there is someone making modern style "one Piece" units for our cars,

I was at the Marquez Designs booth at the Grand National Roadster Show and their 69 Camaro had a fiberglass headliner covered in suede. It looked killer! He also had the A pillars in fiberglass covered in suede also. Everything fit together perfectly. Since it's such a large flat item, I think he mentioned shipping might be a small issue.

Yeah? Who?

There was a shop selling fiberglass headliners over on camaros.net but they disappeared. I remember that one was purchased for the One Lap Camaro but I'm not sure if it was installed.

I can drive to their shop from Mountain View.

This may be an ignorant question, but is there any specific benefit you're after with this h/liner? If it's just to be different, I can understand and respect that (and it certainly looks good), but wanted to make sure I'm not missing something here...

Marquez' prices tend to be rather steep.

Any other fiberglass headliner options out there?

This is purely for looks, will be painted same colour as car. I am not too concerned on weight. 800hp up front and this car will be show 'n' go. It ain't gunna win any races.

Has foam insulation, but still expect it will be loud.

A pillars will be metal covered as well.

fill bad for whoever has to bodywork and sand that.

Yeah that's what I said. Panel guy said "not my problem" (with a smile of course !!)

Sanding will suck, but I think painting it will also be difficult.
