I don't mention this car on this board because it's not PT or a G machine but I thought some of you guys might have some answers.

When I bought it (8-10 years? or longer ago) I didn't try to verify anything before purchase because I felt at the time it was worth the money spent reguardless of whether it was a real RS SS or not and whether the options were original or not. I registered it right away to verify it wasn't stolen or anything like that.

Is there a way to tell from the trim tag or VIN what options/upgrades were factory installed? Where were build sheets hidden in these?

Thanks
John

67 RS SS Conv.
power windows
tilt column
fold down rear seat
deluxe interior
factory tach
I recieved console gauge cluster from PO but it has since been stolen
Had Firebird front seats W/headrests in it when I purchased the car, recently replaced with low back standard upholstery seats purchased from PT.com member.
The PO told me he'd added rear spoiler when he had the car painted.
PO also installed 68 hood chrome bezels and gave me the original 67's with the car.

yes, that is an absolute awesome ride you have. Ive debated a long time weather or not to protour my car or not. seeing your car, almost makes me to second guess my decission. But, I am going to save everything and not do anything that will hinder my ability to return it to stock. Awesome car.
