How do I determine the proper length for the end links on my rear swaybar? :dunno:

What kind of car is this and what other susp stuff have you done to the rear?

Ideally, you want the arms to be horizontal (think side view) and the endlinks vertical. If that's not possible, get the arms as close to horizontal and the links as close to perpendicular to the arms as you can.

69 camaro with an AME 4bar rear suspension.
I can achieve a horizontal bar with any length end link, just depends on where I mount the other end. Obviously, space is tight though.

All else equal and assuming some sort of split bushing arrangement, I think I'd favor using the longer endlink length. It will 'angle' less for any given amount of suspension movement (and the bar's arm ends move in their arcs), meaning that the bushings will not be forced to distort quite as much. Or feed as much bending back into the endlinks.

Thanks, that's just what I needed to know :)
