Hey guys, met some new buddies lately that share a common interest. Never really knew about these cars, and then I found out these two guys live only 5 minutes from my house.

First guy has a Hugger Orange '69 RS/SS 600 fwhp 502, TH400, 18"/20" Boyd Smoothie II's, DSE Dash etc etc.

Second guy has a '68 Red RS/SS 502, with 19"/20" HRE combo.

I've added pics on my site, you can see them in my sig below.

All 3 of us are up in Canada, so I don't know if these cars can make it into any mags, but seeing them in person is alot better than what these pictures show. They are immaculate. Now I can't wait to finish mine so we can hit the streets. 3 PT 1st gens only minutes apart!

Hey Rybar, those are nice, I like the 69 more than the 68. Was that a car show or just a local hang out? Get your car out there!

Was a recent cruise/show and these guys just brought them out. The pictures really don't do them justice.

Nice cars!!

They are certainly magazine worthy.. the hard part is getting over there to shoot them. Do they ever come stateside to events??

I printed the pics you sent me and they are in the "to shoot" file.. that way when we are in an area of the country we have stuff to shoot :)

Again, thanks for the pics..

Where about in Canada are you? Just curious because I am in Ottawa right now, but moving back to Vancouver in April.

EDIT: I see BC PLATES!! whOOt! I can't want to move back to BC. I was born and raised in Vancouver. I am in Ottawa right now while my wife goes to school. My Project 69 awaits my return for me in Vancouver... now i am home sick! :banghead:

WOW! Beautiful cars. I've always been partial to hugger orange '69's. Can't wait until mine looks that good.

Steve, I know Sandro JUST finished that car. How far would he have to come do get in a shoot? Would Seattle be far enough? I know there are some Chevy shows there, and it's only about 2 hours south from us.

Nutsy, I'm in Vancouver, hope you get back here soon to your car, maybe we could have first gen meet up here.

Not sure on the offset, the rims are 8" wide so I would assume an offset around 5" but I would measure your car. He said he had a custom 12-bolt built for it.

Sorry for the late reply. Lui's rear wells are stock so I would assume his rears are only 8 or 9" wide, his front is stock arms with a dropped spindle or coil I think.

Neither car has airbags, Sandro has GW arms, with QA1's in the front with a dropped spindle. In the rear he has stock wells with lowered leafs and rims in the rear are 8" wide.

I don't know eact tire sizes, back spacing or anything. Sorry, I have to find that out.

Both cars are sweet! I like the red one since it is a little more different.

I'm almost ready to drop the motor/trans in, was going to do it this weekend, but I think I got a couple of small delays that may set me back another week. I don't think the swap is all that difficult, it can be done on a budget, but I have ordered some cherry parts that I'm waiting for like a Ron Davis rad/fan setup, Rick's Hot Rod SS EFI tank & S&P headers. My TSP cam/springs/tune should get the car to close to 400 rwhp and I'm waiting for my harness from Speartech.

I'm so itching to drive this thing, you gotta listen to this vid of the same cam that I had installed: TSP 233/239 cam (http://www.ls1sounds.com/headers_cutouts/cutout-open_PacesetterLT_ORY_TSP233-239-112lsa-cam_TSPtune_TA.MPG)

I'm trying to get these guys to join the forums since thier cars are awesome. There is a post on Lateral-G as he joined over there, a bunch of build pics of the '69 and a couple more of the '68
