Does anyone make an adaptor bracket to bolt 4th gen ( f body)front seats into a 1st gen( f body) . I thought I found a place that was going to produce the adaptor but I can’t find them anymore. I know you can cut the back tabs off and reweld them to make them work but I like the idea of an adaptor plate better for some reason. Steve

The fronts line up fine, I used some 1/4" steel plate and drilled the holes in the plate where they needed to go. After the correct holes were drilled, I attached the seat to the plate and then the plate to the floor. I didn't want to drill holes in my floor pans. I haven't had any problems with them. Be sure to sure grade 8 hardware.

I'd be curious to know if someone is making them also. I'm in the process of cutting and welding the rear tabs of mine right now. It seems (compared to the stock seats) that the front mounts are lower and the rear tabs are longer/taller than the original first gen. So I am gonna raise the front mounts and lower the rears so they match the angle of the originals. I'm puuting way too much thought into these LOL. I hotwired the 6-way power seats to play with them and can't wait to get them mounted.

I still haven't wired up my lumbar yet, I wonder if a relay is need or just an inline fuse? Any suggestions?

I would think some enterprising person with a machine shop could make a few bracket up and sell them for a few extra bucks. It’s a great conversion to do on a first gen. I have set for both my 68 and my 69 waiting to go in. Here is a thread I found with some pictures and wiring info. http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=148978&highlight=seat+wiring

Rag-Rat is right - I installed seats from a 2000 Z in my '68 Camaro and I had to put 1" spacers under the fronts to make the seat right. I didn't lower the rear mounts but that would help too.

Just an idea, I installed non power seats. Used my original sliders, just had to extend a 2" piece of flat steel and drill another hole to attach it to the seat. The sliders bolted right up to the front holes on the bottom of the 4th gen seats. They've been in the car for a year now. I'm going to be installing another console and when I pull them out I'll post pics.
