I have a 67 RS Conv. that needs a ton of work. I was originally gonna do all the work myself but am now thinking that I would rather have a shop do most of the body/framework for me. I was thinking about DSE but they are pretty far away. Is there anyone on the West Coast (California preferrably) with a good rep that is willing to take on a pretty huge project? All body panels need to be replaced, minitubbed, smooth firewall, etc. Not looking for a quick job....I have all the time in the world. Perhaps someone looking for a little something on the side?

Hollywood Hotrods is pretty good. They are in Burbank. on 40 E. Palm. I have thier number at home. They are usually in Rod And Custom but do work on Muscle cars also.

Man get your left arm and right leg out...its gonna cost you. You might want to check with some body shops around your area, I know some are slow this time of year. Try Maxim on Harrison, they do great resto work and might be able to do your car.
Just a note , a friend had his floor pan and the left side quarter replaced and car preped for paint on his 68 and was charged almost 10 grand. You might be better off buying a welder and taking a welding class and building it yourself. just a thought.
I'd offer my sevices but it would take me a good 4 years to get that one back together. Did you ever get it dipped?

Give Leonard a call over at Dominator. He's a great guy and does amazing work. You'll be happy with the results.

Next time I get a car painted I am shipping it out of state.. shop rates here are MURDER..

But.. Hot Rods and Custom Stuff in Escondido CA is a top notch shop.. and they can do the whole build (engine, interior, paint, etc).. ask for Mike there.

Just a quick note for reference Rock Toy. I have a 67 RS Convertible and I'll have $35k in it when I'm done.....and I did all the labor myself, including all of the paint and panel replacement.

Yea, I have welders and some fab skills but have done limited body work. Maybe I will hold onto it and chip away myself. Problem is that I have too many projects AND just had a baby girl!! I guess I just got a little pumped up checking out all the builds and was looking to get it done sooner than later. Thanks for all the referalls...I'll log them in my computer and maybe get to use one of them for paint one of these days...
