What type of chassis does this car have? Anybody know a site that can bring me up to speed on some info on the suspension of this car?
Thanks

Kind of weird would describe it. It's a unibody with an IRS transaxle in the back with a flexible "rope" driveshaft. I don't know what the front might be related to, though it might share some components with the Chevy Nova. I would guess you are looking at a lot of custom fabrication though as it's kind of an orphan.

It sounds like a perfect candidate for a C5/C6 Vette driveline swap. The transaxle would still be in the back with the motor up front. Include the Vette suspension and it would be one fun car.

The front suspension is the same as what is in my '62 F-85 Vert. As posted above the rear is pretty unique in the Tempest. The font is an SLA with a steering box. The entire front suspension cradle is bolt-in. I haven't torn into mine yet, so I don't have a ton of detailed knowledge. I have been wrestling with my future plans for the F-85.
Keep us posted as to what you do with the car.
