-
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
so,cutting,drilling , new bracket....
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
tranny into it
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
then, engin/tranny mounts - and the engine - at this time I was sitting 2 hours in front of the car - just looking and feeling good:lol:

but NOW :D
-
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
this should be fun to fit the carpet
-
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
new stuff here - sand blasted and painted gas tank and anti roll bar

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
now I've to build it together for the body work
-
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
new cowl ind 8)
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
oooooh yea - after blasting, grinding aaaaand painting:D:D
-
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
so when the body work is done - grinding, bondo, filler the care will be take apart again for blasting and painting the front clip........
but I've help always
-
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif

Roddin28
01-29-2009, 04:42 AM
ok - more work - of course there isn't a lot to see - but a lot of hours
after the first primer - bondo and grinding:sleep:
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
after doing all bodywork for straightness (hope thet is the right word) -- phosphatprimer was next---
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
and the filler - and - what else - grinding -- man I hate that word:rolleyes:
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
after that the whole front was removed again
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
all the parts in the front are sandblasted and painted
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
but some parts were not that shiny -- so extra grinding and I sprayd some extra clear coat
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
ok - building together -- sorry for that bad pixs
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-
and this is what the rag top looks like now - it goes dirtier and dirtier - but that's the way:D
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
--
and if you look at the trunk lid -- you can see a little result:D

Roddin28
01-29-2009, 04:45 AM
next was doing the inside
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
aaaand
that:
the LS1 - with complet made/ported TPIS heads / ls6 intake / bigger throttle body / cam / lifters ....... - it made 483hp one the dyno (out of a c5) but without the bigger throttle body, msd... -- so lets see
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
but there are so much small thing to do - nothing is fitting because all is metric and so on -- but I'm doing this "modern stuff" the first timedurch
little example for those small things ----- and I've 4 of em
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
-hope I'll be ready next year

Welcome, as far as I know you're the second Austrian on this forum. For someone from a country that doesn't have a very loving relationship with USA cars you've come a long way!

Keep us posted. I'm planning to take my car to the Alps within a year or 2 so maybe we will meet some day.

Schönes Auto! Soooo much effort into it, you clearly have enough of the German/Austrian attention to detail :) I can see that I have a lot to learn, I'm building my first car at the moment and I don't even know how to weld yet.

Hope you come to Big Meet Västerås in Sweden this year with the car, perhaps you will be the second Austrian in a row to win car of the show? Last years winner was a bad ass 67 Mustang street machine.

Cheers from Norway

Love the Nova. I built a 63 SS conv. for a man several years back. It is a fairly rare car in that Nova convertibles were only built in 62 and 63 and the SS conv. only in 63. I think about 1700 were built total. Purists will cringe. Nicely done.

PARTS over here?? - thats a hard thing - not to get it - but to pay it -- I've to order all the parts (most of em - witch I can't built myself) from usa -- the problem is : If it is $400 in the shop it's $850.- till I've the part in my hands (taxes, shipping...) and than I could pray it will fit --- hmmm thats it

You European guys always amaze me with the quantity and quality of work you produce so far from the US. I look at your small, crowded garage and the lack of space you're working in and wonder why it's taking me forever to build my 65 Nova P/T car in my 1200 s.f. shop.Nice, nice work,Brother and it's wonderful to see your boy getting his hands dirty, too!

we have a "lot" of mopars here (50in the whole country)- but nearly most are stock -- custom cars aren't allowed here - If the cops would really check out my car they would take away my plates --- same on the roadster:banghead: (we have around 6 hot rods here)
but the good thing is : they don't know those cars
---and the best is
we have (what I know) 4 1st gen novas over here
no 2nd gen
3nd gen -- don't know it exactly -- by 6-10

NOT A TA
04-12-2009, 04:30 AM
Very nice! It's gotta be so much more difficult building a car where there's no local support of any kind. It's gotta be difficult just getting hardware thats not metric nevermind all of the regular type replacement parts we can just buy from local supply houses.

Beautiful car. Saw it over on Steve's.

What? No 2nd generations? You've got to do something about that!
