I have a 69 camaro. Stock room in the rear wheel wells; no tubbing.

Im looking for a good dar tire to fit in the back. My street tires burn through 1st and 2nd and i cant gun it until 3rd. I need better traction. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good drag tire to try. Ive been recommended the nitto 555. Looks good. What do you guys think.

Also im running 245/45R17 street tires in the back on an 8 inch rim. If i go with seperate drag tires can i run bigger than 245/45 in the back without rubbing? Also does anyone know if i can fit a bigger rim than just an 8 incher?

sorry for the buch of questions at once. Thanks or any and all help !

If your backspacing is correct, you can fit a 10 on the back of a 69 with a 275 in back in any diameter then take your pick of the various Drag Radials available on the market including, BF Goodrich and Nitto off the top of my head.

Here's one of our designs in 18x10 in stock wheelwells. Add a Drag Radial and some softer shocks out back and you'll hook up a lot better.
