On my 79' t/a , I currently have 335/30/18's on some CCW's... There is a liilte too much room between top of tire and edge of wheel well. Can't drop the car anymore, front end is as low as I can go...So, the 345's are 1.6" taller than my current setup..Since I also have plenty of depth, I was going to run 13" wide rims with the new tires.. Will that look OK?? Or should I stay with 12" wide rims?? The current tires are Toyo RA1 and the new ones are M/T street radial 2
M/T recomends 11-13 wide rim.. Any input????

Stay with 12" if it's already tight. The extra inch in wheel width will make your tire wider.

I have plenty, plenty of room.. Car has been tubbed... Actually, I would like to gain some width as well.. I am just worried about cosmetics..will the sidewalls be tucked in from the edge of the rim??

I have a 345 on a 12 inch rim and very happy with it. I can post a photo if you like.

Also be advised that the 345/35- 18 from Mickey Thompson is not available yet.

Street tire? no one...Bridgestone and Michelin used to, but not anymore.
Hoosier make the A6 and R6 in 345/35 - 18.

Hey Mark,
That is the same size tire I am running for my "street tires". I am using a "hand grooved" Hoosier R6.
The 345/35/18 Hoosier has a little different specs than the M/T tires. They are 29# vs 35# for the M/T tires. They are only 26.8" tall vs the 27.5" of the M/T. They have the same Section width at 13.9". The Hoosier has a 13.3" tread width vs 12.8" for the M/T.
If interested, this is their link: www.rogerkrausracing.net (http://www.rogerkrausracing.net). I am very happy with my tires I received from them. I am also going to run them on 18"x13" Forgeline wheels.
Here are a couple examples of their work:

Look at Viper websites. They use a 18 or 19 X13 rear rim and I'm sure there are quite a few running drag radials. I've got a set mounted to some 18X13 Purner wheels myself, but they're currently in storage.
