This is about all I have for pictures of my El Camino...

Couple of Power Tour pics. Go figure, car is dirty in both pictures.

This is pic from a few years ago. It sits a little lower now. I added complete Global West front and rear upper and lower control arms and rear frame supports, Hotchkis front sway bar and rear springs. Bear Track front and rear disc brakes. Hydroboost. Fast ratio Lee tuned steering box. 427 big block backed by TKO600 5 speed. It now handles better than stock, I'm not sure if it's Pro-Touring.

Working on an 84 G body. Have a set of ATS spindles, a vortec headed 383, a T56, Ford 9: w. currietracs.

Need to start assembling the pieces. After the Camaro (could you guess?) gets closer to being done.

This is great. I'm going to print this thread for my pops. He's doing a 67 and I'm trying to convince him PT is where it's at. Right now the frame is off and being POR-15'd. I hope to build one as soon as I get done with my current project car.

Spectre Performance has a 70 Elky that I saw in Springfield, IL this past summer. Extremely wicked! LS engine set back so far that the firewall was recessed...ummmmm several inches.

You can see clips of it at www.spectreperformance.com

YEEEOWW...how could I be so absent minded!!
Well, um, uh, Mike, oh poo! excuse time....I guess I just still relate to you and the "NotaGTO". Plus I'm getting older and.....Tell you what...bring that elky to Year One and take me for a ride I won't ever forget, that will drill it into my brain.LOL
But seriously guys, Mike's elky is as nice as they come, and I'm sorry I didn't get to ride in it at Charlotte.

Thanks Steve. As long as you still love me.lol
Can't wait for some track time myself.
I'm not sure why but I keep getting invalid file messages when I try to post pics from my photobucket account. Herb is trying to help me sort it out.
I'll gladly take you for a ride but I want one in your Camaro.

Keith's elky is truly a great build. I still can't believe he swapped it for a Viper. He inspired me with his track use of this car. I still have video from him at Branierd loaded on my computor. Putting a similar camera setup in my Elky to make my own memories.

Mike I am only a couple hours away from you (right beside Raleigh,NC). well little info on my 72 chevelle: 98 ls1 heads, cam, intake, c5 brakes,Rushforth wheels, 12 bolt with Currie upper and lowers, front is SC@C uppers with tall ball joints, bilstein shocks, eibach springs for now might sell, frame has been powered coated along with many other items, the new V/A for chevelles is coming from Prodigy, list keeps going. I need to get started on 1/4's but have no real experience with body work like that but can't afford a shop to do it. I got the tools etc and a friend was going to help till he just recently had a slip disc and is going to have surgery so not sure what I will do!!! I just got to have it ready for my wedding day 6/26/10 so wish me luck!!! sweet ride again love to see more of it. Brandon

The air dam is an item from OPG for the 65 bumper. The bumper is a VFN fiberglass piece. The fit was not good, but we worked on it til it did fit and then made the two pieces into one. All the bracketry is made of fiberglass.

Brandon, Sounds like you are doing the Chevelle right. Expensive hobby, huh? If you take a ride to the beach look me up. I might can give you some tips on the body work.

You won't have to deal with it much longer. Our weather has been nice compared to much of the Country. This is the best time of year for hotrods around here. Should be in the sixties the next two days. I'll think about you while cruising tomorrow. You can always go skiing. Today I took the Tempest out for a bit. Saw a hotroded 53 Chevy panel truck and a Studebaker Hawk on the road.

At least it's supposed to be 50 or so today; maybe the snow will melt some before the next storm crashes down on us!

Skiiing? You mean voluntarily go outside in the cold? I'm not :screwy:!

I've got my little heater in the garage, my Carhartts, and my ipod, I'm actually making progress on the Chevelle!
