View Full Version : Project "PT Wanna-Be"
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2009/01/100_1860-1.jpg
My project/driver, a '66 F-85 Deluxe, 330 2-bbl, Jetaway trans, etc. (bone stock)
Plans include updated suspension & brakes w/ power updates later on down the road.
Paint will be flat-black, a la' Mr. Vengence's Goat - cool-ass car!!
Not as fancy, not a Camaro (had a '71 SS 350 & a '92 Z28 - loved them both), & something a little off the norm.
Be gentle.....:1st:

Was this up for trade on NC4x4 awhile back?
Yeah, I found something I wanted, but it's gone now.
So, the work begins.....

I'm X88&94GT over on NC4x4. Trying to sell my fj62 and build up my 80 series Landcruiser. Any progress on the f-85? Dont let people hate on a 4 dr. I'm on my 3rd '63 Chevy, a 4dr HT Impala, a 4dr sedan Bel Air, and now a Biscayne Wagon. 4 drs are great for cruising and decent PT cars, just not quite as sporty. I have always had 4drs b/c of our family.

Wow, that brings back the old high school days for me (grad '90). A friend had a '67 Olds Cutlass 4 door that looked almost exactly like that. Was a fun car to mod... the 330 Jetfire didn't do to badly and the car doesn't weigh nearly what I thought it would.

I love that wagon of yours......
I like the 4-doors, a lot cheaper to buy usually & fun to play around with as well.
I had a '67 Cutlass 4-door years ago - satin black w/ old A/R CP-200's on it. I beat the snot out of that car & it's still going today I hear.
Thanks!

me likey!!!!! i know the perfect road to take it on!
Just drove it after getting it aligned (SC&C stage 2 plus & spc springs just installed)......MAN what a difference!
The car feels tight & planted either while turning or going straight.....the Bilsteins will have to wait a bit, but even w/ the stock style shock (like new) she ride/handles great!!!
