Ok, if you have never watched but somehow feel a need to say its stupid, please keep your opinions to yourself. Rant over, long story.

For those of you that have watched it,did you like it? I thought it was really good and so much darker than I expected. The scenes on the the ravaged earth were nasty and cool. I guess I will watch the final episodes.

I will say it gets weird and way deep sometimes. I have not watched them all by any means but the last one was a trip. The part where Starbuck (?) rolls over whats left of her fighter and her body is still in it........crazy.

I love the show.. it's very dark though.

It's also very deep and if you pay attention you notice a lot of stuff relating to our society, religion and and our history. Some very top notch actors in a very well written show. It's certainly not "dumbed down" television.

So say we all.

IMO, one of the best shows on television, regardless of type.

I have a friend at work who is into it. I'm just afraid of adding another show I'll get hooked on.

Wow.. the first episode of '09 was so freaking dark... When you know who offed herself, man.

I'm still wondering how they will explain the paradox deal and where Starbuck came (back?) from.

So, we're Cylons???

Is Twiki in the new version?

I always thought Erin Gray was among the better '70's TV hotties:

That scene I was talking about.. the show is "unexpected" at times.. It's about realistic flawed characters.

This is cool.. it's an homage to the original series.. There was a first Cylon war and the ships/cylons were like the old show...

I can't believe he actually said what he said at 1:07ish.. lol

Love the show. Anyone heard of the new Spin-off Caprica?

Seems like the origins of the Cylons

Erin Grey. Ohhhh She's a yes.

I agree with Steve. Realistic characters that have flaws that we can all relate to makes for interesting twists. Heck, even the space dog fights are more realistic than any other show or movie around, even though they break the laws of human capability more than a few times.

I don't know the name af the actress, but Apollo's sister in the original Battlestar was pretty hot...heck I was like 10 and thought so, but under no circumstances do any of these "space babes" look any better then young Skywalkers sister the Princess. The slave scene in part three....or part six

Who was the Blonde chick in the original one,I think her show name was Cassiopeia (SIC?)? She was hot...
And Sheba (Anne Lockhart) was even HOTTER!

Probably won't be a bad idea. Start with the miniseries

Did this remake just get off the ground recently or has it been on for a few years now? Thought I remember flipping through channels in the past and coming across this revised series on the Sci Fi channel. I didn't watch it but was disappointed to learn that the opening score from the original series had been replaced.

Sacriledge. The original Battlestar Galactica opening score was awesome.

Hey it's nice to know I'm not the only geek around here.

...any MSTies among us? If you know what that means, jump in.

It's been on for a few years now. 2 or 3 years ago TV Guide called it "the best show you're not watching". Guess they were talking to you at that point.

So yes, another vote to go start watching it. Go rent the miniseries, then start renting the season disks. They pay more than enough homage to the original series - heck, Richard Hatch (original series Apollo) is in this one too, just not as the same character. The series is drawing to a close now - no running on and on until they run out of stories...

As for MST - the wife's right, it wasn't as good after they replaced Joel.

Never watched the "new" version but I remember the original and loved it when I was a kid. Man it is just beat up talking about shows that are over 20 years old....does that mean I am getting old? NOT!!

The miniseries came out Dec. '03, I think the show began airing Dec '04.

Man, hard to believe that was 30 years ago. I watched it all of the time when I was a kid. I still enjoy it.

There needs to be a miniseries about zombies with a nice mad max flavor...gritty and dirty, dark and scary. Who is with me on this?
