Just add the brake booster / master cyclinder combo from DSE on my 67' camaro.. The way it mounts to the firewall puts the entire assembly at an angle..
The unit points upward making the resevoir very close to hitting the hood when closed.. Called DSE and spoke with them, they said it will clear stock hoods..Yea, but what about the extreme angle:bsjerk:.. Has anybody used this item on the first gens?? Does it mount at an angle??? Sorry, I have no pics ( still have dialup)..

Most of the boosters mount at an angle to line up the push rod with the hole in the brake pedal arm for power brakes instead of manual. As far as at what angle I do not know.

Thanks, Shep.. I did notice that the pedal pushrod is aligned perfect, so I finished the installation.. Everytime I look at it, it just seems odd.. Also I don't like the plastic resevoir but since it is from DSE i stayed with it.. I love all of my other DSE hardware, just wanted some feedback from the Pro-Touring community.. Anybody else???

Yep, that's the way it is. At first it bothered me a bit, but I actually prefer the more modern look of the plastic reservoir so I am now over it.

I'm resurecting this old thread because I'm thinking of ordering a DSE master/booster combo for my 67 Camaro. I just wanted to see if there was any recent feedback on them.

I'm running Baer Brakes Track System w/ 13" rotors on the front & Sport System w/ 12" Rotors on the rear. I've been using the stock style 11" booster w/ a stock style dual resevoir master, but the master I think is just a disc/drum. Since that's how my car was set up before.

So do these just bolt in? Will my current bakes lines just hook right up?

I read getting a C4/5 Vette or 4th Gen F Body Booster you have to shim and shorten stuff. And the masters have the resevoirs reversed, back to front vs. front to back?

Thanks for any feedback!
