Centre link

For a 71 Firebird.

One side of the centre link seems to only rotate, while the other side fully rotates like the tie rod ends.

Dumb question but does the side that fully rotates go on the pit man arm or the idler arm? It seems by the way the parts go together that the idler side only rotates, but seems wierd that the pit arm side would have full range of motion.

No, all the ones I've seen don't move in all directions like a tie rod end. Is this a new one?

Yes. I did not think so either. I thought both ends only moved in a rotating motion.
