Any ideas for a cheap set of rollers for a 69 Camaro? I want to install a big break setup before sending it to the body shop and dont want to send it to the body shop with my new wheels on the car. Need at least 17s.

for the front i used lsx GTO spares with a 1.5 spacer, rear i took my calipers off and bolted up some old 15x8 stock car wheels. car only has front brakes but it woks for the body shop guys. if you wanted all brakes to work, i suppose you could go with the gto spares with spacers all around. i found mine on ebay and or the gto forum.

Do you have to install your brakes before the car goes to paint?

try the little donut spare from a c-4 vette. i bought 2 for rollers and for a spare later. it fits in the trunk better too. a spare from a 4th gen f-body may work also as the camaro ss used the same tires as the vette.

good ideas/suggestions above. make some wheels out of wood like project "evade". the cheapest wheel in a 17" that is new is the cragar soft 8.

I got a set of 4 late model Camaro spares with the calipers and rotors off.

You can also try Kugel Komponents. They have these "wagon wheels" that address the issue of keeping your nice wheels out of the paint booth.

I know that on the old astro vans use a 20" spare on the AWD models. You could probably find 100 of those at a wrecking yard.
