Thats pretty sick. Rushforth has some really nice wheels. Top of the line quality at a really good price.. Yup, thats a pretty mean looking Chevelle. Its a big car and the large wheels are in perfect balance with the whole look. JR

Looks great. Like brownz said, I'd like to see what a car with the same concept would look like with a body colored hoop on the wheel. This exact car with a candy candy blue paint and a like candied hoop. There are photos out there somewhere of a wheel with a blue candychrome hoop that was very cool even had an irridesence(sp) to it. Pic maybe from one of the last few SEMAs.
This one isn't as nice as the wheel I'm thinking about but get my drift.

whats written on the wheel lip edge?
it says "this is not a curbed wheel,it actually is words if you look closely"
Seriously,I have no idea...but them are some sharp wheels Jon.:yum:
whats written on the wheel lip edge?
It says Rushforth Wheels!
Leave it to Jon to take a plain jane Chevelle and bust out with some trick finishes and a sick looking set of Rushforths to make it stop people in their tracks. Glad everyone digs it. Jon just confirmed a photo shoot with Chevy High Performance as soon as the big brakes go on it so look for it this year on the newsstand and keep your fingers crossed for another Rushforth Wheels cover!

Is there a build thread on this car? I'm looking for suspension specs. Thanks!
nice looking Chevelle, even if it has black bumpers instead of body color! :poke:
OT Warning: I've been thinking about blacking out the drip rail molding but i'd like to do the triangle window and the windshield molding as well. If you know, can you tell me if that was a painted black or if that's some type of slip-on.

Suspension mods include SpeedTech upper and lower control arms up front, with a QA1 coilover. Rear is the complete Hotchkis set up. We are dealers for both, so if you need anything from those companies, let me know.
RYU: If you are going to black out the drip rail, I'd say don't even bother with putting the trim piece on the car. But if you must, anodize it. The build up is much less then powder coat and will make installation much easier. As for the windshield molding, do the same, anodize it. The bumpers on our car are powder coated. The powder coat build up was not an issue here. As for the window triangles, you have to take them completely apart before you powder coat them. The plan was to do all of the above to this car as well.

Thanks Jon! I haven't even started on my chevelle yet, but I really like the stance you got with this one!!! I am planning on air ride on mine, but might be interested in the SpeedTech a-arms. I'll get with you on pricing when I am ready to get started on it, although it might be a year or so.

No problem, we deal AirRide too, so we got you handled either way when you are ready to go. Both are very good products. If you have any questions, feel free to call: 866-694-5940

I actually thought about that, but since we did it on the Black and Red 55, I wanted to take a shot at the matte black to gloss black two tone.

We tried to carry the matte/gloss theme through a little. If you notice the bumpers and rocker trim are gloss black, to contrast the matte black paint. The plan was to also take the window moldings, the door handles, and the grill surround and do them in gloss black too. Haven't gotten to that though...
Curious, what do you all think of the steering wheel? It is 14" in diameter, has a nice thick grip, which is completely wrapped in very nice leather.
