Anybody know if the clutch master cylinder firewall bracket made by ATS will fit my 1970 chevelle? I cant see why It would be any different from any other GM car, but if It wont fit is there another company that makes one for an A-body car? Obviously the site makes you choose a year of camaro but it should all be the same right?THANKS GUYS

Do they run the same pedal assemblies? The same brake booster? If so i would say then yes it will. Your firewall may be shaped differently but where the brake master mounts it wont and even if the hole doesnt line up the pedal should since they would be the same assembly. I'm honestly not sure though. I do have the ATS plate.

Just give Tyler at ATS a call. He'll tell you everything about it.

I just saw in the new Hot Rod (I think) that Keisler has a universal fit hydraulic clutch set up. You might look into that. I'm considering it for my Chevelle.

CC5 speed has a a-body hydro clutch kit. They did the prototype work on my chevelle. I think jeff told me that they're available now, but give them a call. I'm very happy with mine.

Their kit appears to be available, though there's no price listed...

The Keisler kit does not appear to have the bracket that mounts it to the firewall. I used the ATS bracket with a GM master and slave on my 65 El Camino. It is working well but the master is plastic. If I was starting from scratch I would most likely go with a setup like Keisler's, but I believe you will still need a mounting bracket like ATS's.

Our master cylinder is a Wilwood we make a custom bracket so the angle is correct with the factory pedal. Once installed the pedal stroke rod will go straight into the body of the master. The kit also includes backing plates and will work perfectly with factory pedals.

Thanks for that info Gene. Looks like you guys have taken a lot of the modification process out of a change over to a hydraulic clutch.
From my experience so far, I really prefer the hydraulic to the manual clutch. And I had to modify my factory pedals for the GM setup to work.
