I have a DSE LS1 tank in my 69 Camaro and was wondering how you guys vented yours?

What kind of check valve if any did you put at the end of the hose, and where did you run the hose to??

Thanks

I have the Rick's tank, but I am planning on running a little K&N filter with a piece of hose with a barb fitting on it up over the axle out of the way of the suspension components.

I have Rick's tank too...I had too many problems with my vent so they sent me a new vented cap and had me eliminate the hose...no more mess..

Hey guys,

Mike Norris and I have just released a new tank vent product. We've put one in Larry's MotiV8r, Bad Penny, FueL, the One Lap Camaro, and a couple others. I've got one in II Much as well.

They work well. If you're interested, get with Mike or me, and we'll get you squared away.

I even have one in stock, ready to ship.

Here's some nice install photos James took of his install of it as a differential vent. Tank vent plumbing is identical. See it here (https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37441&page=14).

So this is more than a breather or vent - it is actually a catch can... Correct?

It isn't a catch can (though the outside packaging is the same as Norris' catch can). I can see why you'd think that.

It's a liquid/vapor separator and vent. Vapor evaporates out the top through a filter, and the liquid drains back into the tank. The size is needed to provide lots of surface area for the gasoline vapor to condense back to liquid and drain back, plus an indirect path to allow vapor to escape.

And, most importantly, a path for filtered air to go into the tank to replace gasoline burned by the engine.
