In May of 1993 at the ripe old age of 15 with the help of my father I purchased a 1969 Z/28. Hugger orange with white rally stripes. The car had a 350 probably 325 hp if I was lucky and a 4 speed of course. Not knowing a thing about cars I took the car apart. I mean completely apart. 2 1/2 years later with a lot of help from Dad the car was back together and I only had 2 boxes of mystery parts left over. Let see, I blew up 3 muncie's one rear, one clutch, and an engine and a half. Built a 383 about 400hp then a 406 @ 485hp, 502 lbft and switched to an automatic. It is a "real" Z/28 but obviously no matching #'s. I'm 31, the car has been sitting in my parents garage for years and goes out a few times a year to do some burnouts and short drives. Its a nice Hot Rod, runs high 11's looks and sounds great but I'm ready for an adventure.
I'm going to build a pro-touring car. I've been researching for a few weeks and I have a great idea of what I want. These forums look great and you will probably be hearing a lot from me.
"Project Stonetown"
Flat Black paint scheme, Carbon Fiber hood. Add a RS grill, large displacement LSX (supercharged). 6 speed manual. New Subframe and suspension components( I need help here guys) Fattest satin black wheels I can fit with the stickiest tires I can buy. Best brakes I can get. New interior. I plan on outsourcing a lot of the work. Well there is my intro, I'll add some pictures of the car and keep everyone up to date. I'll need some help with a lot of this stuff but this looks like a good place to get it
