65 Chevelle mini tubs??

I did a search and found threads on other models. Im looking for info on body/frame mods for doing mini tubs on a 65 chevelle. Im not sure yet how big of a tire I want or even how big I can fit in the stock wheel well but it dosnt look like a have much room stock. I will be running 17".

Can I get info on doing frame/ body mods for mini tubs or just for putting larger wheels and tires? Thanks in advance guys.

At one point I saw pics of Bill Howell's GTO and the changes they made to tub it, but I can't find them now. It's a 65 as well, so the changes should be similar (although his is a ragtop so yours might be easier)

I can dig up those pictures. Basically we added a 3" strip to the inner wheel house and narrowed the frame 7". Then we had room for 345s.

What did yall use for suspension?

I'm finishing this on a '66, I'm using the stock style suspension. UCA stay in the same location, everything else gets moved in 3".

Exuast may be an issue though.
