It's the old Hotchkis F-71 Camaro. I want it. Of course, I'd have to do a lot of detail work on it....

I saw this car at the Zephyrhills auto show. It was slotted for auction. I didn't see what it sold for, but I bet it was a lot lower than the 50K buy it now price. It was nice... but it didn't really impress me too terribly... considering the price tag.

Hotchkis sold that car for $45k.. wonder what the new guy wants..

I sorta worked on that car some.. would be fun to own it.. :)

And its Orange..

The detail level is not that great.. the paint was by Santini but it got a lot of track time and like it said it was built to run not be a show car..

Has nice Viper seats.. I ran with it at track day and it was a capable car.. not worth $50k though.. They act like it's a first gen ;)

Ahh.. the memories...

And after reading the sale the guy has ZERO clue as to the history of the car or what it has..

I watched that car being built.. Funny where cars end up..

That is sad when the owner of a car with some what of a pedigree (not that it adds value in this case) knows anything about the vehicle. I think it should be mandatory to pass on any relavent history to the new owners. That is what makes these things collectible.

It ran at a Mecum Collector Car auction in Kissimme in January. They reported a high bid of $32,000 but the car did not sell.

No way that car is worth $50k.. but hey.. to each their own..

Maybe the buyer is a hotchkis groopie?? ;)

I also think this was a ploy.. he can relist it later and use this as a "see the car is worth this much but the buyer fell through.. yada"

Why wouldn't you bid up and see what happens.. maybe get the car a LOT cheaper?

Half the things on Ebay are really weird.. the other half are just weird..
