Looking for more info about Mega Squirt fuel injection.... have not hear much about it but it seems to be a cheap alternative to allot of stuff out there....
I am looking for someone who has it and can give some opinion on the system pros and cons and some pictures of your set up

I have it and I like it
it takes some learning but once you get the hang of it it can and will tune everything, I have it controlling fuel and timing on my twin-turbo 440
make sure you get a version3 with the better injector drivers,
I like being able to log a run, take my laptop in the house, run the logviewer and have it adjust the fuel curve to the required output and fine tune the fuel maps, without starting the car.
lots of development software on the go and the new "tuner studio" has better interfacing and gauges as well.
if you want to install and go this system is not for you

Jason, Thank you for the input I have spent some time reading their web site and looks like a pretty good system for the money ...
I just wanted to hear from the real world people who have played with it to get some feed back....
How long did it take for you to understand and get comfortable with the software.
any pictures of your set-up
thx jim

Hi Jim
It took about a weekend of messin to figure out the tuning software and understand what everything did, then about a week of driving to work and around the block to get a good tune and then minor adjustments here and there to adjust to the different starting temperatures, more boost etc.
I will dig up some pics for you

I built a fuel injection setup using a holley stealth ram intake and used chevy hardware using megasquirt. Did not know a thing about it until I started in. Copy a tune up from the website and the car started on the first try. Had some trouble with the O2 sensor and had to get it replaced but tuning is a piece of cake with a wide band. Wide band O2 is the only way to go. Make some test runs, do some datalogging and let the software go from there. I downloaded Megalog viewer for tuning and it works well. I started out with fuel only and will be adding ignition this spring. I am not an expert by far but it works pretty well in my opinion. I live in the midwest and there is nothing better than going out to the garage when it is 0 and the car starts right up and idles.

Dont forget you CAN build a MegaView and mount it in car and tune without a laptop too.
