Some of the nicest canyon roads you've ever seen lead to Newcomb's Ranch. Nary a pothole in any of them.
Link to a thread featuring a run I made there with a buddy in late October:http://forums.performanceyears.com/forums/showthread.php?t=578234
We went on a Friday, low presence of law enforcement on that day of the week and no weekend traffic. Man, do I love So Cal.:smoke:

Well my Chevelle made it back from Florida mostly uninjured. I will try to make it, if I can get the power steering to stop leaking.

I'm going to try to make this one. A couple minor things to take care of. I hope I don't wake the whole neighborhood!!

Count me in. Maybe I catch a ride from the parking lot with someone so I don't have to drive my Toyota up the mountain. Since my Camaro isn't done yet

We're in. Both Chevelles. Camaro just isn't quite there yet. Definitely next time though.

Unless I am mistaken it is the Shell Station off the 210 at the Angeles Crest Highway exit @ 6:30am Sun Jan 18th.

That's right. Heading away from Pasadena on the 210, you turn left at the end of the ACH exit ramp, cross over the 210 freeway and turn left into the Shell station. Heading toward Pasadena on the 210, you turn right at the end of the ACH exit ramp and then quickly left into the Shell station.

Sweet pics Lance.
I'll add my crappy action shots. Dirty windshield and windows plus shaky driver hands do not make for great pics lol.

With a nice camera and steady hands this next shot coulda been sweet!
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
Ignore the rear view mirror and look at that glorious winding road :)

Hey is this pic actually in focus, haha ?
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
I think this next pics is my favorite pic of the day.
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
I'm only including this next blury pic as I hear this is the first time cameras have been able to catch Mike actually using his brakes going up the crest.
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
Look carefully and you'll see there are actually TWO Chevelles in this pic.

Alots of great people on a awesome road. Good pictures Lance and Chad. Carls Camaro is a very sweet ride along with Mikes BB Pro-Charged Camaro. It was also cool that the A-bodies made a good showing.
More people need to do this. :drive:

What a great morning. Could the weather have been any better?
Chad,
Mike was not braking. He was just showing you that the lights worked.
Nice pics Lance. Thanks for bringing the family out. Jill's a keeper for driving and putting up with us.
So, it's time to start thinking about February......

Brakes? I don't need no stinking brakes!
Lance and Chad, nice pictures.
Chad, you need to do something about the red light. I'm not sure my heart can take it.

If you use brakes then you have to replace pads......
