They're predicting a foot by the end of tomorrow with more on the way Sunday. I went out this afternoon and got a new shovel, 5 bags of rock salt and filled my 2.5 gallon gas can for the snow blower. Ski pants, ski mask, boots, gloves, and scarf are at the ready.

Everyone in the upper mid-west better hold on to your a$$es.

3-4 times a year on Hamilton though. Diablo is usually too bloody windy for snow to stick.

I headed into work a bit early this morning to avoid the "mess". I drive 65 miles one way from Flint to Livonia and got down here about an hour before the snow is supposed to start. Yea, I only look stupid...:smoke:

White out conditions in the Madison area. We received 10 inches within the last six hours. It's the warmest it's been in the past week and a half, we are up to 19 degrees! If I could get my wife to move, I'd be in Pigeon Forge!

Here in Rockford it is going from white out conditions to slight flurries from one hour to the next.About 4 new inches has come so far. it's back to flurries at the moment after just barely being able to see 30 minutes ago.
The snowblower is feelng hungry I hope !!!!!!

update from this morning,
Well after going out and feeding the snowblower, frosty the snowman is now all over the yard. 7 to 9 inches total was found in most of the 125 ft drive . it's been a snoy winter so far

You guys are lucky getting snow, or in the mid-Atlantic, just rain. Here in beautiful New Jersey, we get a Oh so wonderful mix of every type of winter precipitation you can think of. Freezing rain, sleet, snow, ice, rain, slush....If you look at a doppler radar map of NJ right now, you can see the snow/sleet/rain line right through this toilet bowl of a state. Kinda like eating bad mexican and sitting on the bowl.

A foot of snow today in my neck of the woods. I had to bring Chicken Little (my snowblower) into the foyer of our house to warm up because the poor little princess was too cold to start today. Also my blades need replacing, I can't throw for sh*t with it anymore. Like Matt I was out there over an hour. Kids had a blast though. At least THEY get something out of it.

I agree, we're six months out of winter! Having had a hot Christmas for all my life I really envy all of you who get a white Christmas.

I don't envy all the work you have to do cleaning up and the trouble all the really bad weather causes, but I think you know what I mean.

We just get ripper thunderstorms, gale force winds, relatively high humidity (not as bad as the last place I lived) and nasty hail. Oh and it is about 90 - 95 before the storms hit...

But I hope you all get a nice covering of snow and everyone is safe for Christmas!

hotrdbldr, I want to be where you are. 160 inches....that's awesome. I came back home from CA a week ago and dropped from 50 degrees to -27 in ONE DAY. So glad to be back though. I guess it's just in my blood.

I don't know about you guys, especially you FL and CA guys, but I couldn't live without winter. A bunch of friends and I were out snowboarding all day in -39. The next day they even closed the lifts and we hiked the terrain park all day

Snow is FUN! It's like drifting, but on public streets. :rotfl: :)

Still this bitter cold, -20 to -40 windchill with no snow kinda sucks.

PS. I still remember being a young lad and asking my mom what this mysterious "windshield factor" was.....

It's been bitter cold here since friday. Calling for more sleet/ snow tomorrow and more later in the week. Slick streets just make me happy I live for others bad luck in bad weather. I know I'm terrible but it pays my bills when people crash.

Snowin and blowin right now with a lot to come they say. The roads are like ice and people are in ditches everywhere. It's another winter storm and this time at least it is really winter.

Yeah SoCal is rough.

I couldn't make it to the cruise the coast but I did get out and do some wakeboarding on Sunday.

California is great. Nothing like Snowboarding/skiing Saturday and Wakeboarding Sunday.
