I purchased a Hydraboost kit (Part #2006) or an 80-82 Corvette that was never installed. I would now like to install it on my 71 Camaro. Hydratech web site doesn't have any contact information and refered me to CPP brakes. I called CPP and asked if I could buy the parts to install it on my Camaro they said we don't sell install kits. I suppose they get calls from people with junk yard units. I also called back and offered to send it in to be retrofitted but never received a return call. You guys have any advice on how to proceed....

I spoke with Paul today about this; cliff notes are that the unit is too different to adapt from the vette to the camaro.
The firewall bracket and pushrod are much to different to adapt. Your best be would be to sell the unit you have and buy a version for your 2nd gen.

Thanks for the effort (much better then I received from CPP)I guess I just assumed the hydraboost unit was the same for both cars and I could send it in to have the correct bracket installed. I will post an add in the classifieds.
Thanks again for your help.

Just wondering why they are "too different"?

Poor wording. Not a direct replacement for the 2nd gen. It will require disassembly of the unit to convert the pushrod and mounting blocks to work. At that point, just get the correct unit and be done with it.
