Hello .. I am new to this forum

Here is my built up of my Chevy 61 Parkwood

I always loved the 61"Parkwood" wagon and found a really nice project car some month ago... With this project i wanted to have a more of a "driver" as "BlueDiamond" is, and combine new technology like engine,.. transmission, brakes .. etc ...

Transmission is a 4L60E automatic transmission from Rossler
Serpentine Pully kit is a Vintage Air Pully kit, all polished.

wheels:
20″ Billet Specialties wheels front & rear

chassis:
suspension will be an airride technology “street challange” kit
brakes will be front & rear disc brake kit from wilwood - 13″ diameter
CurrieEnterprise 4-Link Rear End
500 Series Power Steering Box Classic Performance
HydroBoost Braking System Classic Performance
LED dakota digital rear lights

Interior:
all custom interior by Dave Interior Shop
Billet Specialties steering wheel with half wrap
ididit aluminium polished steering colum
dakota digital dash

I'm sure others will chime in, but Mike Norris comes to mind. I don't have any direct experience with him but I think John Parson's is using a Fast setup and had it tuned by Mike.

finally someone does a build up on a x frame wagon so I can watch and learn! triplecap and I were the only ones whom I have seen. His build is slow and I am still waiting on cash and time for my 63 wagon.

Your 6 1is very nice! I am sure many of us wish we could do all that you are doing at once. Especially with stripping it all the way down and bolt in new parts.

What are you doing for the gas tank? Is it in the rear 1/4 on 61's? My 63 has it in the drivers 1/4 and I wasnt sure how to work EFI without going full custom. Which is mucho $.

I look forward to following your build!

Nice wagon. I have a factory 4-link rear end if you're interested, but I imagine you're going w/ a 9"...

There's somebody out there that makes a smaller version of the factory steering wheel if you wanted it to look more original, I can find out who it is if you'd like. As for me I'm keeping the bus wheel :)

Here some pictures of my 62 OG paint .... The belly has been completely redone and painted red. It will get a complete Ridetech Airride setup. The frame has been black powdercoated and got all new fuel lines. The 9" rear end with Detroit locker will handle the power of the 383. Also new power steering with the new brake system of the Z06 Corvette will be part of the technical change.
