1972 Pontiac Lemans

Hi Guys,

Been a member of pro-T for awhile but have yet to post anything. I am in the process of building a 72 Lemans and was wondering what the widest rear wheel I can fit with a stock rear suspension. Looking to use something in the 9-10" wide range on a 17" hoop. If I did that what backspacing would I need.Any help is appreciated. Im in the Houston area and I am doing all the work myself, but y'all come by if you wanna help. I will post more updates with pics in the future.

In my search & after talking to Mark @ SC&C he told me about a 6" offset max in the rear & 5" offset in the front. So you could fit a 17 x 9.5" in the rear & a 17 x 8.5" up front. Most definitely a 5" offset would work though.

I have a 17x9.5 with 5.5 bs with a nitto 315/35-17
