GTM build

Im building a Factory 5 GTM for a customer, any one put one of these things together? Alittle bit different then what im used to, were talking about a warmed over ls7 for this thing. Ive got some bad ideas for this thing that involve a pile of 321 stainless tubing. Should be fun

I haven't done a GTM, but I did one of their Cobra kits back in 1999. Great company, great products.

There is a cool GTM build that was covered over on c-c.com in the fabrication and suspension section. Covers it off start to finish from the donor car to the finished product...

I'm a big fan of the GTM. The sale of II Much is necessary for me to get started... and, well, that's taking some time. :)

Post up on Project Updates, please! What do you have in mind for your transaxle?

That was very interesting to read the whole thread of the build. I think I could do it myself in about 2 years compared to how much time I have in reinventing a Camaro :idea:

The time saved in having most of the engineering already done is amazing but the ability to make one of those kits even better is in the hands of the craftsman building it.

I can see a John Parsons built GTM that would be much different than a lot of other GTM's and the experiences of II Much showing up in a lot of details.:cool:

I love the GTM, I WILL own one eventually. Expect a LOT of bodywork with the fiberglass. The rear hatch and the door gaps, in particular. Lots of people have an issue with the two gas tanks, something about sucking air bubbles. Don't skimp on the transaxle, especially with an LS7! Keep us updated!
