View Full Version : anybody run 15 inch rims on their 69?

hello i am in the minority but i want to run 15 inch wheels on my soon to be lowered 69 camaro.anyone who has tips let me know. david pozzi gave me some good info but any more tips would be helpful. i currently have stock wheelwells, but i do own a grinder.dirk.

I ran 15" TTI's on mine but now going with 17's. Little gap between top of tires and wheel opening but still looked real good. My avitar shows the car with the 15's

got 15x8 vette rallys w\ 265\50r15s on the front - and have 15x10 ( 6" backspace) w\ 295\50r15s in the rear - you'll have to relocate the shocks and trim back a tad of sheetmetal - it's tight in the front. my 69 isnt lowered - hope this helps.....

I have stock camaro rallys on my car (15 x 7). On the fronts I run 225/60's and on the rear I run 275/50's. If I were to lower my car they would fit just fine without rubbing. It is tough though getting a 275 on a 7" rim. I am about 1" away from the shock mounts though so if you went with an eight inch rim you would have to have the perfect backspacing.
