I cant give too many details yet since they are not availble for sale - but I believe they will be out on Thursday of this week so I thought I would write my review on them.

I was sent a set to test out for them last week and was able to get out to Alabama Internation today.

The track condition outside of the temperature was excellent - but the weather sucked - it was clear but 43 degrees was the high so the temp on the track was not to good.

The tires have a new tread pattern and a nice deep tread bar setting which means they shuold last a good while. The compound is soft and gets nicely sticky when heated up. They did not roll or shred on the main contact patch which was quite impressive.

They hooked up as well or better than the hoosiers I ahve been running which so far had been the best set. The drawback to the hoosiers has been the tread patter or lack thereof - you cant really get them out on the street.

The sidewalls are great - I ran 14 psi in them and they did not walk or feel mushy at all- the car was incredibly solid.
tire size was 315/35/17

The hoosiers and the toyos both hooked better than the bfg's but with the edge of hooking up going to the toyos and the superior tread pattern I am hooked on these new ones.

I will post some pics after they are released at PRI this Thursday.

Very nice tires.

:1st:

I highly recommend them when you can get your hands on a set.

I just checked their website as I was interested in the 345/40-17, they list it as 25.6 tall....that cant be right, it should be closer to 27.8" tall.

yeah that is the size for the 315 35 17 tire. your tire would be as follows:
345 mm = 13.5826 inches - multiplied by 40% = 5.43303 inches - multiply by 2 (since there are 2 walls that that make up part of the heighth - 10.86606 inches and add 17 for the rim diamter and you have 27.87 rounded off.

I'm going to track test the 345/17/40s in a month or so with Penny.

Would be cool to test them versus the next closest thing (MT or Nitto).
