Greetings from NASCAR country!
I am a transplanted Floridian who is a big fan of pro-touring rods of all makes but I have a soft spot for the Camaro.
I have beem lucky enough to own a few in my lifetime; however, my favorite is my latest which is a '02 convertible. Kinda ironic point, but orginally I did not want the car as I had many Camaros and I wanted to try the Corvette. My wife talked out of the Corvette and steered me towards the vert f-body and overtime I began to growm more fond of the car.
After attending this years SEMA show and seeing the great pro-touring cars of all makes and models packed with tons of innovative ideas, I decided to join the forum to learn how to transform my car from a straight line runner into a classic canyon carver that will be at home on the power tour, strip or running hot laps at the track.
It has been 6 years since GM closed the books on the 4th gen f-body so hopefully you guys can give me a hall pass as my car has not become a "classic" yet. But my goal is to build a balanced perfomer that looks like a can-am car, has the power of a zr1, can handle like a euro sports car and has the comfort of a caddy - which is the halmark of great pro-touring cars I see on the road toady.
After I figure out how to post pictures without hogging server space, I will post up some pics and spec of what I have done thus far.
Look forward to speaking with you in the near future!
