Look what happens when your going 70mph on a three lane interstate and 4 cars pull a police trap and stop manuever on you. It got pushed in like 6". Anyone know a really good body guy close to or in Las Vegas?

Were they the Police? If so, and you weren't running from them, and this is how they decided to stop you, somethings fishy.

I thought when you saw the bright shiny lights you were suppose to pull over? :3gears: It looks like they tried the ol pit manuever on you. What happened? Looks like a painful experience to me. :banghead:

WHOA WHOA WHOA. Settle guys. No police chasing me. Here's what happened... I had 4 cars tight all around me front sides and rear. The front car had about 1 1/2 car lengths between us. The two outside cars pulled in to that spot and quickly braked to prevent hitting each other... Here's were I am f'd. Options

1. Slam on brakes and rearend the dipsh!# that pulled in front going say 50mph and he's got a jacke up truck. Also the guy behind me would sandwich me

2. Slam on brakes and vear right or left and possibly collide with the traffic now flying by to avoid themselves getting rearended. So I took this option and basically knocked a little economy car off the road.

Everyone left the scene exept us that got hit. It was utter luck that no one else got hit. So I got cited for unlawfull lane change since the other guy said he was just vearing to the right lane to avoid an accident too. He went to jail for some other reason that the cop didn't say unrelated to the accident. Either way I got screwed and my insurance will probably total it and give me the unrealistic Blue book value. Bending over for insertion right now.

Wow, that sounds like one of those insurance scams where they box you end and force you into a wreck and then blame you for hitting their piece of crap! Don't know what insurance you got but I have progressive. My wife's 95 Camaro was in a bad hail storm last April and should have been totaled. However the nice insurance guy cut me a check for the damage which also happened to be what the car was worth, about $3500and they did not total it! Anyways I kept the car, fixed myself for $700, and put the rest into my "other" Camaro. Hope it turns out ok for you with the GN.

I cant imagine why they would total it if its just a damaged lower quarter. Also if the other driver was arrested on other charges, which are most likely vehicle related, then you should be ok. just explain to your insurance agent what the situation was, I'm sure they will understand the event. My dad used to work as a high up at State Farm, and they would get these kind of claims all the time.

Yeah I do have an appraisal for almost 20k. Now the damn thing is smoking BIG time out of the tail pipe and the trans is starting to act up. I looked under the hood and noticed the engine strap was snapped off, so there must have been quite an impact that went through the entire car. Then I got pulled over for the car smoking and got a citation for that. These cop here aren't like they are in the good ol' midwest, what a bunch of inconsiderate jerks. Insurance lady is coming tomorrow from progressive so we'll see what happens. Damn I was just about ready to sell it to get the WSS project going. Hey Scott I guess this excludes me from being a feature car now huh..haha. Who know's maybe it would start a trend kinda like the bullet holes people would put on their cars....or not. Now I know what its like to lose a family member. I had to cry myself to sleep last night.

Gave you a ticket when you were driving home from an accident???

Man, that's just cold.. :(

I guess this rules out (for now) us shooting it either.. best of luck with insurance..

Don't stress Shane...it'll work out.

Here's how:

It's no longer capable of being 100-percent original, it's time to make it more radical. This may stretch the timeframe on the '70, though.

So, I suggest you collect the insurance cash, sell the GN to me for a great price, and buy a pickup to commute in, tow with, haul trannies around, be Tyler's parts bitch, and not worry about.

...or you could push the insurance pukes to fix it for ya, and let me shoot it before the paint gets scratched (and before Steve gets there...Jeez..!)
