I am looking for some info from folks who have done an LS swap using a later model ECU - TCU setup (2005 and older) that originally used a 4L60E (or 65, 70 0r 75E) and then swapped to a 4L80E and still used the stock ECU - TCU.
Hopefully this makes sense. I have a customer with a swap using a Tralblazer SS ECU - TCU and a custom harness from a company and the trans will not work properly. I have been down this road with a late 2007 truck and at that time no one had a clear answer on how to make them work without some kind of issue.
I figure most would just use a TCI controller and that would be the easiest for sure. Just trying use the parts we have. Any help or info is greatly appreciated for sure.
FWIW, the vehicle is not at my shop and there are a few things I would like to try if it comes my way. Just wondering if there is a 100% sure way to make it work that folks are using now.
