Well, had this car a long time (actually this was my first car when I was 15 back in '95) and it has changed faces a few times, but I am extremely happy with the look now! Got the Rushforth's from a fellow forum member and am extremely happy with the deal.

Still have a few little things left to do, but hopefully in the next few weeks it will be back on the road after two years in storage while I was out of the country. But it still has a long way to go to turn corners, since for the past three years it has been on a path to a pure drag racer so the hefty cam and 4000 rpm stall is a bit rough on the street :)

Thanks for compliments guys!

They are 18x9, 5.25" BS in the rear and 18x8, 5" BS in the front. The wheels are Nitto 555s-245s up front and 275s in the rear.

The rears needed a bit of a roll but not much. I had already clearanced the inner wheel well to frame in the back so they have plenty of space left on the inside.

I fell in love with that color the first time I saw the new Z06 corvette in '05, and it just happen to be right before I started the body work to paint the car for the second time to change from the original Daytona Yellow in my ownership. It takes me awhile to get the work done, but everything you see I have done, paint, interior, engine, transmission, body work, you name it I've attempted it from a rusted piece of junk!.

I assume you are talking about musclecarjohn? I saw his car the first time a few months when he posted his pictures with his new Rushforth's, suprised to find he had the correct Camaro color choice in my opinion :smoke: !

I hadn't planned on these wheels, but the deal just presented itself and I had to take advantage of it.

I am definetly kicking myself for building that engine 5 years ago before the LSX were a big thing (at least more mainstream with more available parts). Sure it is a 383 with an estimated 550 HP and sounds mean as hell, but it is not street friendly at all! Maybe one day I'll find a deal I can't pass up on an LSX...

Just waiting for my vacuum pump to arrive so I can stop like a normal person (4-5" of vacuum is not quiet enough to run power brakes...), get it inspected and back on the road. Thanks again for all the compliments, I'll get some more pictures up later if interested.

I do remember when your wheels were being offered for sale and yeah...you done good with that purchase, those wheels compliment your color perfectly...but then again I am kinda partial.:yum:

I understand about 550hp/383 strokers being barely streetable,lol...

John, what springs are you running in the front? I have the DSE 2" drop, but you seem to have at least another 1-2" lower...

Wish I could accurately tell you...but I honestly don't know.My best guess is that they are Herb Adams parts because the previous owner had several VSE parts sprinkled around and they do not appear to be cut.

The front end is 22.75" from center of the fenderwell to the ground.
